SPLAT 08: An Impressive GN Symposium
A new graphic novels symposium, SPLAT 08, will take place next March 15 in NYC. The list of presenters is simply amazing! It includes Dave Saylor (Graphix), Mark Siegel (First Second), Scott McCloud, Calvin Reid (PW), Terry Nantier (NBM/Papercutz), Dave Roman (Nickelodeon), Raina Telgemeier (Baby Sitters Club), Kate Farrell (Henry Holt), Janna Morishima (Diamond), and many more creators, publishers, agents, and librarians. Anyone serious about breaking into this business and who can hop to NYC for a day shouldn't miss it!

I signed up a while ago and I can't wait for the conference! Are you going? I guess that might be a bit of a trip for one day.
Ooh, I want to go SO badly! Look at the speakers! And the Track 2 agenda is a dream! *sigh* I'd have a hard time justifying the purchase of a plane ticket all the way to NY just for one day. And Scott McCould's the closing speaker! *sob!* I sure hope that this becomes an annual event. This first one looks so FANTASTIC!
