Teaching about Graphic Novels at the Summer SCBWI Conference

The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators website has officially posted its Summer Conference line-up, and I'm thrilled to present two sessions on creating graphic novels for children. One focuses on concepts writers should master to write graphic novel manuscripts (Sunday morning) and the other on what makes a graphic novel page layout successful for the reader (Friday morning). In coming days, I'll detail more about each session. I also noticed a third session on graphic novels by Laurent Linn and Mark McVeigh. Exciting!

thanks for the comment you left me! i am still trying to figure out what to do with that left side. but if i crop it, the castle will be too centered, which is something i dont want. any suggestions? i can add more texture, or stones grown into the mountainside.
